Agisce inoltre in qualità di forum centrale per lo scambio delle linee di condotta, della pratica e dell'informazione sul volontariato. Sostiene le relazioni tra i membri ed organizza conferenze, seminari, laboratori ed altre attività come, per esempio, la ricerca. I membri del CEV rappresentano migliaia di organizzazioni di volontariato, associazioni ed altri gruppi di volontari a livello locale, regionale e nazionale. Insieme lavorano per: Contribuire alla definizione di linee politiche sul volontariato, Potenziare le infrastrutture per il volontariato nei Paesi europei, Promuovere il volontariato e renderlo più efficace Divenendo socio, il CSV.net in intende inoltre promuovere l'accesso alle opportunità di scambio e di progettazione transnazionali per le OdV, rendere sempre più disponibili le informazioni e gli orientamenti del volontariato a livello europeo, instaurare una interlocuzione diretta con le istituzioni e gli organismi europei. New CEV member: CSV.net (Italy) CSV.net (the National Coordination body of the Voluntary Service Centres) was established in 2003 with its headquarters are in Rome and Milan. 71 Voluntary Service Centres make up the membership of the National Coordination Body. It has two main functions - representative and operational. Representative activities focus on improving the institutional relationships to help consolidate the role of CSVs in Italy. It is a permanent guest within the National Observatory of Volunteerism and has observer status at the Forum of the Third Sector participating in working groups on International and European Policies, Communication and Publishing and Legislative technical table. On the operational level, CSV.net provides consultancy for CSVs and undertakes communication activities through the website, press articles and newsletters. It has organised nation-wide training activities for CSV staff in collaboration with the European Commission Representation in Italy, and promoted local information and training initiatives on European issues and funding. It provides support on national and European grants for volunteerism, and has published guidelines for CSVs on monitoring and annual social responsibility reports. CSV.net also works on organisational models and governance of CSVs and on youth volunteering. Most recently, CSV.net has collaborated with CEV to develop a new Brussels-based liaison officer post.
